Chapter 2 of John Owen’s Overcoming Sin and Temptation is where we can find these famous words, “Be killing sin or it will be killing you…” But what struck me the most is the statement, “Not to be daily mortifying sin is to sin against the goodness, kindness, wisdom, grace, and love of God, who has furnished us with a principle of doing it.”
To not mortify sin is sin.
